Fighting to Remove Unfair 407 Tolls
Nancy led a motion calling on the Province to permanently remove tolls from Highway 407 through Durham Region, pushing for fair treatment for drivers and businesses.

Joe Dickson Park
Successfully led motion to name a new neighbourhood park in honour of long-time public municipal and provincial leader, Joe Dickson, celebrating his legacy of service in Ajax. Joe, otherwise known as "Father Ajax".
Acceleration of the Rossland Road Widening
Advancing key road widening earlier to relieve congestion, support new development, and improve daily commutes across Ward 2.
Parking Relief for Overnight Medical Support. (Parking)
We initiated a review to create fair, workable parking solutions for residents receiving overnight medical care.
Safer Intersections for Families
Co-sponsored motions for six all-way stop signs at key intersections to address speeding and safety concerns from residents. (Williamson Drive West and Hazeldine Drive/Tozer Crescent, Hollier Drive and Cantwell Crescent).
Honouring Veterans
Led the motion for a special commemorative crosswalk at Veteran’s Point Garden, honouring Ajax’s military history and its veterans.
Castlefield School
In the Castlefield area the need for a DDSB school is growing. Nancy has advocated strongly to the DDSB School Board and the Province for a new school build.
Residential Parking Permit Program
Led action on neighbourhood parking challenges - pushing forward solutions that reflect how Ajax has grown and ensure residents have fair access to parking where they live.
Freedom of Religious Expression
Nancy championed a motion affirming the right of residents to express their faith freely, reinforcing Ajax as an inclusive home in solidarity against Bill 21.
Child Care (CWELCC) Program
Led advocacy to protect and expand affordable child care, keeping fees low, creating more spaces, and reducing waitlists for Ajax families.
Flexible Parking Solutions
Expanded the Occasional-Use Parking Permit program to help residents accommodate guests, caregivers. Providing practical, short-term relief while the Town develops a long-term solution.
Intimate Partner Violence Epidemic
Led a motion calling on the Province and Region to formally recognize intimate partner violence as an epidemic, strengthening support systems, increasing awareness, and pushing for coordinated action to protect victims in our community.
